▲ Current month through today; July 2026 is locked closed; return measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. * Jan–Mar 2026 are estimated partial-period returns carried from our May 2026 updates; they predate our daily archive (begins 15 April 2026) and are shown as estimates, not as-published daily marks. Apr–Jun cells are as-published marks; July is locked closed from the Jul 31 month-end close; close-basis restatement pending the anchor review. No backtests, no hypotheticals. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued.
Safe Growth is marked at $1,878 near the open, -0.5% versus Friday's published update and +9.4% for August (no build ran over the weekend). Semiconductors are in a deep, ongoing selloff, not a one-day dip: the PHLX Semiconductor Index is down more than 25% from its June peak and global chip stocks have erased roughly $3.3 trillion in market value since June 22. We don't have a single fresh headline pinning down today's specific acceleration — this reads as a continuation of that multi-month unwind rather than new news, and it's landing directly on NVDA in this book.
Bitcoin and MSTR are holding up, decoupled from the tech carnage — consistent with last week's crypto meltup consolidating rather than reversing. It's a big week ahead: Nvidia earnings and the Aug 27-29 Jackson Hole Symposium, where Fed Chair Warsh delivers his first keynote as chair Friday, 19 days ahead of the Sep 16 FOMC decision. US-Canada trade talks also collapsed Friday, with new 50% tariffs now in effect on about $28 billion of Canadian goods — a background risk-off contributor, not a single-ticker story for us.
MSTR (+3.5%) leads the book today, with NUGT (+1.6%) and TMF (+1.2%) also modestly higher on safe-haven flows. NVDA (-3.6%) is the clearest casualty of the chip selloff. ETN (-1.5%), XLE (-1.0%), PPA (-1.4%), INDA (-0.7%) and URA (-0.4%) are modestly softer, while EWW (+1.2%) is higher.
Bottom line: no trade before this update. SG is down -0.5%, led by MSTR at +3.5% — a mostly quiet day for this book apart from NVDA catching the ongoing chip-sector unwind. Worth watching Nvidia's earnings and Warsh's Jackson Hole keynote this week for whether that pressure eases or deepens.

Risk Disclosure
Safe Growth is not an unleveraged book: it holds TMF (3x long Treasuries) and NUGT (2x gold miners). Leveraged ETFs reset daily and can lose value over time even when the underlying index is flat or higher. MSTR carries leverage and direct bitcoin exposure. This is our model book, shared for transparency — it is not individualized investment advice, and position sizing reflects our risk tolerance, not yours. Every performance figure on this page is an actual, live result measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. Apr–Jun monthly cells are as-published marks; July is locked closed from the Jul 31 month-end close; a close-basis restatement is pending the anchor review. Our published daily archive begins 15 April 2026; Jan–Mar 2026 monthly cells are estimated partial-period returns (marked *) carried from our May 2026 updates, shown as estimates rather than as-published daily marks. We show no backtested or hypothetical returns. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Data claims are dated as of publication.
