Risk Disclosure
Safe Growth is not an unleveraged book: it holds TMF (3x long Treasuries) and NUGT (2x gold miners). Leveraged ETFs reset daily and can lose value over time even when the underlying index is flat or higher. MSTR carries leverage and direct bitcoin exposure. This is our model book, shared for transparency — it is not individualized investment advice, and position sizing reflects our risk tolerance, not yours. Every performance figure on this page is an actual, live result measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. Apr–Jun monthly cells are as-published marks; a close-basis restatement is pending the anchor review. Our published daily archive begins 15 April 2026; Jan–Mar 2026 monthly cells are estimated partial-period returns (marked *) carried from our May 2026 updates, shown as estimates rather than as-published daily marks. We show no backtested or hypothetical returns. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Data claims are dated as of publication.
Safe Growth slipped a fraction on Friday, down about 0.4% to $1,726 a unit, as a broad market wobble ahead of a heavy calendar week left the book close to flat. Six of the ten positions held or gained; the drag was concentrated in a few high-beta lines, not any crack in the thesis.
Defense and industrials again did the steadying. PPA firmed about 1.1% near its highs as Middle East risk stayed elevated, and ETN held its ground as the cleanest expression of the AI-power bottleneck, still roughly 24% above our January 22 entry. TMF and INDA edged higher. Oil cooled after Brent briefly tagged $100 on Thursday, its first triple-digit print in about two months, so XLE gave back a fraction; we hold the energy sleeve for the geopolitical premium, not to trade a single candle.
The softness came from crypto and commodity beta. MSTR fell about 3.6% with bitcoin near $65,000, and worth saying plainly: Strategy has begun selling some bitcoin to rebuild cash, a real shift from its perpetual-accumulation stance. URA eased about 2.3% and NVDA about 1.2%. NUGT barely moved; gold near $4,050 is conspicuously not catching the geopolitical bid, so we are not leaning on it as a haven here.
The calendar is the story now. The Fed decides July 29, and the live debate is hold versus hike, not hold versus cut, under new hawkish chair Kevin Warsh, with the 10-year at a cycle-high 4.7%; that keeps TMF a hedge, not a rate call. EWW also carries an added overhang from a threatened 30% US tariff on Mexico effective August 1. No trades. Safe Growth stays diversified and about 10% below the January entry, unbothered by a quiet, rotational Friday.
