Risk Disclosure
Safe Growth is not an unleveraged book: it holds TMF (3x long Treasuries) and NUGT (2x gold miners). Leveraged ETFs reset daily and can lose value over time even when the underlying index is flat or higher. MSTR carries leverage and direct bitcoin exposure. This is our model book, shared for transparency — it is not individualized investment advice, and position sizing reflects our risk tolerance, not yours. Every performance figure on this page is an actual, live result measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. Apr–Jun monthly cells are as-published marks; a close-basis restatement is pending the anchor review. Our published daily archive begins 15 April 2026; Jan–Mar 2026 monthly cells are estimated partial-period returns (marked *) carried from our May 2026 updates, shown as estimates rather than as-published daily marks. We show no backtested or hypothetical returns. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Data claims are dated as of publication.
Safe Growth held flat on Thursday, as a firm bid into energy and industrials offset a pullback in the metals and rate-sensitive lines. After Monday's bounce and a week of grinding higher, holding the recovery on a mixed, rotational tape is a result we will take.
Energy did the lifting. Brent crude pushed toward $98 a barrel, up about 5% on the day and roughly a fifth over the past month, as fresh tanker attacks near the Strait of Hormuz kept the risk premium bid. XLE added about 1.5%, our defense-and-industrial anchors ETN and PPA each gained 1.5 to 1.7%, and NVDA firmed about 1.5%. We are not repositioning the book around a geopolitical oil premium; the energy sleeve already captures the upside, so we let it work rather than chase it.
The give-back came from metals and duration. NUGT, our leveraged gold-miner position, slipped about 5% as gold cooled from its run, and TMF eased about 2% with the Fed's July 28-29 meeting a week away and no cuts priced into the curve; we hold it as insurance, not a rate call. ETN remains the steadiest line in the book, still about 24% above our January 22 entry.
No trades. Safe Growth sits roughly flat on the month and about 10% below the January entry, having clawed back most of last week's washout. We would rather hold a diversified book through a mixed, rotational session than trade around a single day.
