High Risk is marked at $1,493 on the current whole-share model, +0.1% versus Thursday's published update. August MTD is +18.7% and 2026 YTD is -8.8% on the performance chain. Same backdrop as Safe Growth: Fed Chair Warsh is giving his first Jackson Hole keynote as chair live this morning (~10am ET), and this week's data didn't make his job easier — core PCE stuck at 3.3% year-over-year, the headline print hotter than forecast, and a real US–Iran conflict that escalated again overnight (a strike on Iran's South Pars gas field), pushing oil and pump prices higher right as he has to sound credible on inflation.

MSTR (+7.1%) leads the book, tracking bitcoin's overnight reclaim of $80,000 — a real bounce after MSTR's rough stretch this month (BTC-treasury markdown, MSCI-exclusion overhang), but several outlets are calling part of it short-covering (Peter Schiff: Saylor “surrendered” by trimming the treasury to fund dividends), so we're not declaring the thesis fixed off one strong morning.

Second theme worth flagging honestly: Nvidia's earnings were genuinely excellent Wednesday, but that strength hasn't spread across the chip sector the way it normally would. Marvell, which had rallied 27% into its own print, stumbled on its results and dragged the broader complex down with it — which is why SOXL is soft today (-5.3%) even with Nvidia's win still fresh. Add a separate story about government-stake speculation lifting AMD, Intel and Micron on unrelated news earlier this week, and the picture is a market picking winners and losers stock-by-stock rather than buying “AI/semis” as one trade. Arguably healthier long-run, but it means SOXL can't just ride Nvidia's coattails the way it has most of this year. BE and NBIS are softer too, still digesting Wednesday's move; separately, NBIS announced a $4.5 billion convertible note raise this week — a dilution item worth watching, not an urgent one. No portfolio change today.

Bottom line: HR is up +0.1% today, bitcoin's $80,000 reclaim doing most of the work through MSTR while the chip sleeve shows the AI trade getting more selective underneath it. No portfolio change before this update.

Risk Disclosure

High Risk holds leveraged and crypto-linked positions: SOXL (3x semiconductors) and TQQQ (3x Nasdaq-100) reset daily and can lose value over time even when the underlying index is flat or higher — they can lose value fast. MSTR carries leverage and direct bitcoin exposure. This is our model book, shared for transparency — it is not individualized investment advice, and position sizing reflects our risk tolerance, not yours. Every performance figure on this page is an actual, live result measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. Apr–Jun monthly cells are as-published marks; July is locked closed from the Jul 31 month-end close; a close-basis restatement is pending the anchor review. Our published daily archive begins 15 April 2026; Jan–Mar 2026 monthly cells are estimated partial-period returns (marked *) carried from our May 2026 updates, shown as estimates rather than as-published daily marks. We show no backtested or hypothetical returns. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Data claims are dated as of publication.
