High Risk is marked at $1,489 on the current whole-share model, +2.9% versus Wednesday's published update. August MTD is +18.4% and 2026 YTD is -9.0% on the performance chain. NBIS is doing almost all of the work today, sharply higher as the market keeps digesting Wednesday's Q2 print — reports now put annualized recurring revenue near $3 billion with $236 million in adjusted EBITDA, evidence the company is converting its AI-compute backlog into real cash flow rather than just growing revenue on paper.
Two fresh catalysts are layered on top: Nebius and Vantage Data Centers announced a new UK deployment, NVIDIA-powered AI infrastructure at a Newport, Wales campus, the first commercial capacity commitment in the South Wales AI Growth Zone. And Michael Burry's disclosed short position in NBIS has been moving against him as the stock rallies, adding a short-covering bid on top of the fundamental news.
Today's July PPI print came in benign — final demand prices flat month-over-month, +4.7% year-over-year, core +0.4% for the month — extending Tuesday's cooler CPI into a second straight day of disinflation evidence, generally constructive for leveraged and high-multiple names. That's offset by Iran/Hormuz, which is not de-escalating: Iran's foreign minister warned of a "bigger miscalculation" by the US, Tehran rejected Trump's claim of controlling the waterway, and Iran says no ceasefire-extension talks are underway. A drone hit a US-owned tanker at an Egyptian port overnight.
Bottom line: no portfolio change before this update. NBIS's move today is backed by real fundamentals and a real short squeeze, not just macro tailwinds — worth distinguishing from the broader cooling-inflation story that's helping SOXL and TQQQ more modestly.
