High Risk is rebounding this morning to $770 a unit, or +3.2% versus the $746 figure printed in yesterday's email. SOXL is the headline mover: it is up more than 20% versus yesterday's official close, but +13.4% versus the $100.83 mark we actually printed in yesterday's update. With SOXL at roughly 21% of HR, MSTR slightly softer, and cash still about 29%, the portfolio-level gain lands at +3.2%.
The AI tape is no longer one-way bearish. Microsoft gave the bulls exactly what they needed: cloud growth, Copilot adoption, and evidence that AI spend can become revenue instead of just capex. That is why SOXL is bouncing. The market is willing to fund AI infrastructure when the cash-flow bridge is visible.
Meta is the warning label. Its selloff shows investors are not blindly rewarding every AI budget. If spending rises while free cash flow collapses or guidance disappoints, the market sells first and asks questions later. That is the right lens for HR: this is a confirmation window, not an all-clear signal.
No trades yet. We kept cash for exactly this earnings fork. Amazon and Apple report tonight, then Friday's market reaction tells us whether the Microsoft read-through is strong enough to add into SOXL/TQQQ or whether Meta's cash-flow warning keeps leverage on a short leash.
