High Risk extended the rebound for a second day, up about 3.5% on Tuesday on top of Monday's 5.3%. SOXL gained roughly 7%, TQQQ added about 1.6% and MSTR rose near 5%. Two green sessions in a row is the snap-back doing exactly what we said it would: when the forced selling stops, three-times leverage works as hard on the way up as it did on the way down.
The thesis is holding. Friday's plunge was margin-driven deleveraging out of Korea on a Seoul market closed for a holiday, not a break in AI demand. Two days of recovery since is consistent with that read. Hyperscaler capex is still running in the hundreds of billions this year, and the bottleneck remains power, not chips.
The position detail is improving. MSTR, which we added to at the July 14 rotation, is now up about 6% since rotation as bitcoin firmed, moving from roughly breakeven yesterday to clearly green today. SOXL and TQQQ still sit under our rotation fills, down about 15% and 7%, but they are clawing that back fast.
Cash discipline stays in place. We are still holding about 26% in cash from the rotation. We did not throw it into Friday's fear and we are not chasing this green either. That dry powder stays ready in case the tape retests the lows on real volume rather than a holiday air-pocket.
No trades. This is a model book, and leveraged funds move fast in both directions, so size any exposure to your own risk rather than ours.
