High Risk fell 1.4% today to $927 a unit, measured open to open against yesterday's update. That widens the July loss to 7.6% and leaves the book about 8.9% below our January 22 entry. After Thursday's 2.4% rebound, the highest-torque corner of the market cooled off and the sharpest movers simply gave back part of that bounce in a split, choppy session.
It was a divided tape. BMNR climbed 3.8% and MSTR 2.8% on steadier bitcoin, while PLTR added 2.1% on AI-software demand. The drag came from the quantum, space and chip names: IONQ dropped 4.9%, MRVL fell 4.6% reversing Thursday's gain, and RKLB slid 4.1%. OKLO and VST eased fractionally. Yesterday's leaders and laggards essentially traded places, which is the norm for this book.
No changes. High Risk is the aggressive book by design and it swings hardest in both directions, as this week keeps showing. The spread across power, nuclear, crypto, AI, space and quantum is what carries it through. The crypto sleeve cushioned today while the space and quantum names took the hit. Nothing this week changed the multi-year thesis. Holding the full slate.
