The Read
Same story, bigger swings for the high-beta book. The hot 4.2% CPI spooked rate-sensitive growth earlier in the week, then the US-Iran peace signal and a 2% drop in crude toward $85 sent risk roaring back. The Nasdaq ripped 2.5% Thursday, and High Risk opened today up 1.4% since our last update — back to 3.4% above entry.
Nuclear and power led. UEC jumped 7.6% and VST added 4.3% as the AI-electricity trade caught a bid, with OKLO up 2.2%. RKLB opened strong but is handing much of it back intraday, so I'm not reading too much into one print. The laggard was IONQ, down 4.2%, as quantum stayed the most speculative corner of the tape.
No changes. This book round-tripped a brutal week and still sits green since January, which is the whole point of sizing these names small. I'm treating weakness near here as accumulation, not a reason to trim positions with this kind of multi-year runway.
