▲ Current month through today; July and August 2026 are locked closed; return measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. * Jan–Mar 2026 are estimated partial-period returns carried from our May 2026 updates; they predate our daily archive (begins 15 April 2026) and are shown as estimates, not as-published daily marks. Apr–Aug cells are locked closed from official month-end closes; close-basis restatement pending the anchor review. No backtests, no hypotheticals. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued.
Safe Growth is marked at $1,888 near the open, +3.2% versus Wednesday's published update and +1.1% for September (August locked closed at +8.84%, in the track record table below). One note on that daily figure: Thursday's update was built but never sent to investors, so today's move spans two trading sessions rather than one — we're disclosing that plainly rather than presenting a two-day gain as a single day's move.
The real news this morning is the official August jobs report: nonfarm payrolls surged +162,000, well above the 50-58,000 consensus and a sharp contrast to Wednesday's weak ADP miss that had fueled hopes of a cooling labor market. Unemployment held at 4.1%, wages up 3.1% year-over-year. This is the last major data point before the Sep 16 Fed decision (only the Sep 11 CPI print remains), and the Fed goes into blackout this weekend — no more Fed speakers to shape the market's read before the meeting. Rate-hike odds were already 60-68% coming out of Jackson Hole; a beat like this argues for higher, not lower.
MSTR (+15.2%) leads the book over the two sessions, tracking bitcoin's continued climb; TMF (+1.3%) is still up on the period despite today's hawkish jobs print, though that's the position most directly exposed if the market fully re-prices toward a hike from here. Still on our watch list; no trade before this update.
Bottom line: SG is up +3.2% over the past two sessions, but today's actual news — a genuine jobs beat that argues for a September hike, not a cut — is the harder test for this book than the softer data earlier in the week.

Risk Disclosure
Safe Growth is not an unleveraged book: it holds TMF (3x long Treasuries) and NUGT (2x gold miners). Leveraged ETFs reset daily and can lose value over time even when the underlying index is flat or higher. MSTR carries leverage and direct bitcoin exposure. This is our model book, shared for transparency — it is not individualized investment advice, and position sizing reflects our risk tolerance, not yours. Every performance figure on this page is an actual, live result measured from the Jan 22, 2026 entry. Apr–Aug monthly cells are locked closed from official month-end closes; a close-basis restatement is pending the anchor review. Our published daily archive begins 15 April 2026; Jan–Mar 2026 monthly cells are estimated partial-period returns (marked *) carried from our May 2026 updates, shown as estimates rather than as-published daily marks. We show no backtested or hypothetical returns. Units are price-return; dividends are not accrued. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Data claims are dated as of publication.
