▲ Current month through today. YTD from Jan 22, 2026 entry.
Safe Growth opened the second half of the year at $1,729 a unit, off 0.5% on the first session of July after June closed down 6.3% for the month. The book sits 9.9% under our January 22 entry. This was a quiet, split start rather than a directional move, with strength in the commodity and crypto hedges offsetting a give-back in the names that led into the June 30 close.
MSTR paced the book higher, up 6.8% as bitcoin firmed, with NUGT up 3.7% on a bounce in gold, URA up 1.4%, XLE up 0.4% and PPA fractionally higher. The offset came from ETN, off 3.2% as it digested a strong quarter-end pop, alongside NVDA down 2.6% and TMF off 2.0% as long-end yields ticked back up. EWW and INDA were little changed. A textbook flat open.
No trades to start the month. ETN and PPA anchor the infrastructure core, XLE and URA carry the energy and commodity hedge, and NVDA keeps us tied to the AI build-out. The week is holiday-shortened, with the June jobs report due tomorrow and markets closed Friday for Independence Day. That print is the key tell: cooler labor data would reinforce the shelter and oil disinflation we have been watching and ease pressure on the rate-sensitive sleeve. Holding the full slate.
