Portfolio Update to Monday, June 1, 2026
June opens with a divided market. Kevin Warsh's first week as Fed chair is setting the tone: core PCE at 3.8% and no credible path to rate cuts before Q4. That reality is doing two things at once. It keeps rate-sensitive positions like TMF under pressure and forces capital into real assets where earnings growth can outrun sticky inflation.
Korean semiconductor exports came in at +202% year-over-year in May. That is not a data point you ignore. NVDA is up 4.6% today on the back of it, and ETN benefits from the same datacenter buildout thesis. HBM supply stays tight through 2027, which is a structural floor under AI hardware pricing.
Hormuz is the uncomfortable wildcard. Iran rejected ceasefire extension talks last week. WTI held above $90 and any escalation reignites that premium fast. XLE and URA sit right in that supply disruption path. QQQ inflows of $6.26B over the past month signal institutional rotation into growth, which supports the tech and infrastructure side of this portfolio.
May closed down 3.5%. The portfolio is intact and all positions held through one of the more volatile months of the year. June starts fresh from $1,882. Hold all Safe Growth positions.
