The bigger macro story today is the Iran war entering a more severe phase overnight: US Centcom sank five Iranian oil tankers (the largest single-day tanker destruction of the war), Iran retaliated by attacking 10 ships near the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran-backed Houthis struck Saudi Arabian cities directly, hitting oil facilities and wounding 70-plus people — a real expansion, not just an intensification. Brent crossed $100 a barrel for the first time in about two months.
NBIS (+2.3%) is still leading the book, catching residual momentum from Tuesday's Bloom Energy S&P 500/Nebius news — that story remains decoupled from the macro backdrop for another day. MSTR (-0.3%) is the softer spot, bitcoin caught in the broader risk-off pull as the conflict widens. No portfolio change today.
Bottom line: HR is up +0.7% today, still mostly a Bloom Energy/Nebius story even as the macro backdrop darkens — Friday's CPI is the next point where the two could reconnect.
